Base64 encode / decode

Encode or decode Base64 with UTF-8 support, handy for Kubernetes Secret values.

Runs locally. Nothing you paste leaves this tab.

Kubernetes Secrets

Values under data: in a Secret must be Base64. Use stringData: instead if you want to write plain text and let the API server encode it. Watch for a trailing newline: echo -n avoids it.

echo -n 'my-value' | base64
kubectl get secret app-secrets -o jsonpath='{.data.DB_PASSWORD}' | base64 -d
