Cron expression explainer

Read a cron schedule in plain words and see the next run times in UTC or local time.

Runs locally. Nothing you paste leaves this tab.

    Kubernetes CronJob time zones

A CronJob uses the time zone of the kube-controller-manager, which is UTC on AKS, EKS and GKE. Since Kubernetes 1.27 you can set spec.timeZone, for example Europe/London, so the schedule follows daylight saving.

When both day of month and day of week are set, cron runs when either one matches, not both.
